The PGWP timeline
- 1
During your program
Stay full-time, keep your status valid and make sure your program is eligible.
- 2
When you get your completion letter
The 180-day clock starts once you have written proof that you completed your program.
- 3
Apply, then start work
Depending on your situation you may be able to work while your application is processed.
Missed the 180-day window?
The deadline is strict. Contact us immediately; depending on the details there may be a way forward.
Studied online or part-time?
Some online study and part-time terms can affect the length or eligibility of your PGWP. Tell us your full study history.
Is my program eligible?
Not every program at an approved school qualifies, and some require meeting a language or field-of-study rule. We check before you apply.
